Apple Cinnamon Banana Bread

Apple Cinnamon Banana bread topped with roasted pistachios.

Welcome to our first installment of "Will it Banana Bread Wednesdays", where we basically see what we can add to our banana bread and limit test.

Apple Cinnamon Bananbread


Ingredients

  • 3 Over-ripe bananas (they'll make the banana bread sweater this way).

  • 1/2 Cup sugar

  • 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda (SODA not powder)

  • 1 Small pinch of salt

  • 1 Large egg (Beaten)

  • 1 1/2 Cups flour

  • 2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract

  • 1/3 Cup Melted butter

  • 1 Diced up apple (small pieces)

  • 2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/4 Cup of pistachios

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F

  2. Mix together your Bananas, Sugar, Melted Butter, Vanilla Extract, and Beaten Egg.

  3. Once heavily mixed, add your Flour, a Pinch of salt, and Baking Soda.

  4. Add your diced apple to a bowl and add the 2 Teaspoons of cinnamon. Stir and coat the apple pieces very well.

  5. Add the cinnamon-coated apples to the batter of the banana bread and stir.

  6. Transfer the batter to a greased bread pan, top with pistachios, and cook in the oven for 40-50 minutes. (this depends on the strength of your oven, they're all different. for me it takes 42-43 minutes)

  7. Slice and serve while warm (lasts in an airtight container for 3-4 days).
