Pasta With Bacon & Peas

This is an old comfort meal that I used to eat a lot when I first moved out of my parents house.

I wouldn't say this is the most extravagant pasta dish in the world but it's good and I like it so, yeah.


Pasta with bacon & peas


Ingredients

  • 8oz of any pasta

  • 1/2 cup of reserved pasta water

  • 6oz of bacon (cubed)

  • 1 small shallot (diced)

  • 1 cup of frozen peas

  • 1/4 cup grated cheese

  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Boil your pasta water and then cook your pasta till al dente

  2. Add your bacon to a medium large skillet and cook until crispy then remove from heat

  3. Drain the bacon grease out of the skillet and then add your shallot and garlic and cook 4-5 minutes

  4. Add your peas and pasta water and mix well

  5. Add the pasta and mix and cook for 5 more minutes

  6. Top with bacon and serve
