So basically I had a dream about shrimp tacos for some reason and when I woke up I went to the grocery store and got the stuff to make them. I don't know what else to say they're fire.
Now these tacos are very versatile, you can add what ever toppings you like to them - I'm gonna tell you all the stuff I used and some good additions I didn't have on hand.
The Best Shrimp Tacos
Ingredients
The Shrimp:
1lb of peeled, deveined, tail off shrimp
4 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbsp of butter
The Secret Sauce:
1/3 cup mayo
1/3 cup sourcream
3 tbsp sirracha
1 tbsp garlic powder
juice of half a lime
Tacos & Toppings:
8 pack of tortillas
1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
1/4 red onion
4 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
1/2 cup cotija cheese
1 avacado (I didn't have but recommend)
1/2 cup salsa (I didnt have but recommend)
Directions
Assemble your sauce first. Add your mayo, sour cream, sriracha, garlic powder, and lime juice into a bowl, and mix very well.
For your shrimp, Add butter to a hot skilled (medium-high heat), when butter melts add shrimp and shrimp seasonings, and cook on both sides till lightly pink.
Remove shrimp from skilled and place in a bowl.
Toast your tortillas to warm them up.
Add your cooked shrimp and toppings of your choice to your tortillas. I do 5-6 pieces of shrimp per taco and it made 6 for me.
Serve with lime and enjoy!
