The Best Shrimp Tacos

So basically I had a dream about shrimp tacos for some reason and when I woke up I went to the grocery store and got the stuff to make them. I don't know what else to say they're fire.

Now these tacos are very versatile, you can add what ever toppings you like to them - I'm gonna tell you all the stuff I used and some good additions I didn't have on hand.


The Best Shrimp Tacos


Ingredients


The Shrimp:

  • 1lb of peeled, deveined, tail off shrimp

  • 4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 2 tbsp of butter

The Secret Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup mayo

  • 1/3 cup sourcream

  • 3 tbsp sirracha

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • juice of half a lime

Tacos & Toppings:

  • 8 pack of tortillas

  • 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage

  • 1/4 red onion

  • 4 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

  • 1/2 cup cotija cheese

  • 1 avacado (I didn't have but recommend)

  • 1/2 cup salsa (I didnt have but recommend)

Directions

  1. Assemble your sauce first. Add your mayo, sour cream, sriracha, garlic powder, and lime juice into a bowl, and mix very well.

  2. For your shrimp, Add butter to a hot skilled (medium-high heat), when butter melts add shrimp and shrimp seasonings, and cook on both sides till lightly pink.

  3. Remove shrimp from skilled and place in a bowl.

  4. Toast your tortillas to warm them up.

  5. Add your cooked shrimp and toppings of your choice to your tortillas. I do 5-6 pieces of shrimp per taco and it made 6 for me.

  6. Serve with lime and enjoy!
