Hong Kong French Toast

This version of French Toast is my all time favorite! It's so delicious and easy to make, it's a must try!

Ingredients  

  • 6 slices Brioche Bread
  • 6 tbsp Nutella
  • 3 Eggs - Large
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • 2 tbsp Sweetened condensed milk - for topping
  • 2 tbsp Butter - for topping

Instructions

  • Start by spreading a thin layer of your Nutella on your brioche slices and making a 3 layer Nutella and brioche sandwich. Repeat this step to make 2 sandwiches.
    6 tbsp Nutella, 6 slices Brioche Bread
  • Once you've assembled your sandwiches gently cut the crust off.
  • In a large bowl whisk together your 3 eggs and lightly coat your sandwiches on all sides. You want to make sure you don't over dredge this and make it mushy.
    3 Eggs
  • Heat up your frying oil in a large pot to 350℉. Slowly lower your sandwiches in 1 at a time and fry for 45 seconds on all sides. Place on a wire wrack to let any excess oil drip off.
    Oil for shallow frying
  • Coat your French toast in some sweetened condensed milk and enjoy!
    2 tbsp Butter, 2 tbsp Sweetened condensed milk
