Homemade Strawberry Toaster Strudels

Ingredients

  • 2 Sheets Puff Pastry
  • cup Strawberry Preservers Or Jam
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • ¼ cup Egg Wash 1 Large Egg + 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Heavy Cream

Instructions

  • Start by pre heating your oven to 400°F
  • In a small bowl mix together your strawberry preservers and cornstarch and set aside.
    2/3 cup Strawberry Preservers , 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • On a lightly floured surface roll your thawed out puff pastry sheets into a clean square. Slice each square into 6 equal rectangles.

  • To each puff pastry rectangle, add a small scoop of your strawberry preserves in the center leaving 1/4 inch perimeter to coat with egg wash and seal your toast strudels.

  • Brush the tops of your toaster strudels with the remaining egg wash and bake in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes.
  • Whilst your toaster strudels cool down, mix together your powdered sugar and heavy cream to form an icing . Top your toasters strudels with this icing and enjoy!
