  • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp 5 spice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup butter cubed, and very cold
  • cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Standard vanilla icing

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  • Pre heat your oven to 425. In a bowl mix together all of your dry ingredients. (Flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, 5 spice, and salt.)
2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp 5 spice
  • Add in your cold butter and using 2 forks or a pastry knife, cut in your butter. Follow in with the rest of your wet ingredients. (Milk, vanilla extract and pumpkin puree.)
1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • Mix your dough until it’s lightly sticky then turn onto a floured surface and flatten it out. Cut the dough into 8 equal little triangles and then brush the top with some heavy cream (optional), then place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes.
  • While the scones cool down, mix together all of your vanilla icing ingredients and then dip the scones in. Let the icing harden and enjoy!
1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 4 tbsp heavy cream
