Ingredients  

  • 2 cups flour
  • ยผ cup sugar - brown
  • ยผ cup sugar - white
  • 1 ยฝ tsp baking - powder
  • 1 tsp baking - soda
  • 2 tsp ginger - ground
  • 1 tsp cinnamon - ground
  • ยผ tsp cloves - ground
  • ยฝ cup butter - melted
  • 1 cup milk - whole
  • 2 eggs - large
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 tsp vanilla - extract
  • ยผ tsp salt - sea

Instructions

  • Start by whisking together your flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
    2 cups flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp baking, 1 tsp baking, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp cloves, ยผ tsp salt, 2 tsp ginger
  • To your flour mixture add in your vanilla extract, eggs, milk, molasses and melted butter and mix this until you have a thick batter.
    1 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1 cup molasses, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup butter
  • Pre-heat a waffle iron to the highest temperature setting. Add 1/2 cup of your batter and cook for 4 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove from waffle iron and top with butter and syrup and enjoy!
