Classic Italian Chicken Parm

This classic and delicious recipe is one of my favorite easy week night dinnerโ€™s. This recipe pairs perfectly with some pasta or just by itself!

Ingredients  

  • 2 chicken breasts - large
  • 2 eggs - whisked
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • ยฝ cup flour
  • ยฝ tbsp paprika - powder
  • ยฝ tbsp garlic - powder
  • ยผ tbsp salt - sea
  • 1 cup panko - seasoned
  • ยฝ cup Mozzarella cheese
  • ยฝ cup Parmigiana
  • ยฝ cup oil

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 350ยฐF. In a small saucepan pan add your favorite jar of sauce and heat over medium heat.
    1 jar marinara sauce
  • Now slice your chicken breasts thinly and using a meat tenderizer, tenderize them so theyโ€™re flat & even.
    2 chicken breasts
  • In mixing bowl add your flower and your spices then mix until combined.
    1/2 cup flour, 1/2 tbsp garlic, 1/2 tbsp paprika, 1/4 tbsp salt
  • In a separate bowl crack your eggs then whisk them together.
    2 eggs
  • Dredge your chicken in your seasoned flour, then your egg wash and then your seasoned panko, making sure the chicken breast is fully coated in panko.
    1 cup panko
  • In a shallow pan over medium-high heat, add enough oil to shallow fry your chicken cutlets and fry them for 2 minutes on each side or until lightly golden brown.
    1/2 cup oil
  • Coat your chicken cutlets in sauce and mozzarella cheese and place in the oven for 5-6 minutes until cheese is melty and chicken has reached 165ยฐF internal. Top with more cheese and enjoy!
    1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmigiana
