Authentic Italian Pastina

Ingredients  

  • 1 ½ cups pastina
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese - plus more to garnish
  • ¼ tsp parsley - to garnish
  • ¼ tsp pepper - ground
  • ¼ tsp salt - sea
  • 2 cloves garlic - diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Start by adding your olive oil and garlic to a sauce pan over medium heat and sauté until fragrant.
    2 tbsp olive oil, 2 cloves garlic
  • Add in your chicken stock and bring to a simmer, once simmering add in your pastina and let this simmer over low heat until most the stock is absorbed.
    1 1/2 cups pastina, 4 cups chicken stock, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp salt
  • Once all the stock is absorbed mix in your parmesan cheese and enjoy!
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1/4 tsp parsley
