Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 ⅓ cups sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp parsley fresh, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • cup butter softened

Garlic Butter

  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp parsley

Instructions

  • Start by pre heating your oven to 400°F and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bow whisk together your flour, salt, baking powder, garlic powder, parsley, and cheese.
    2 cups flour, 1 1/3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp parsley
  • In a sperate bowl whisk together your milk, egg, and softened butter. Once it's fully mixed add this to your dry ingredients and mix this until you have a light and fluffy biscuit dough.
    3/4 cup milk, 1 large egg, 1/3 cup butter
  • Scoop your dough into 8 biscuits on your baking sheet and place in the oven for 14 minutes at 400°F
  • Whilst your biscuits are baking mix together your butter, garlic powder and parsley. After your biscuits bake for 14 minutes coat them in a layer of garlic butter and continue to bake for 5-10 more minutes or until nicely golden.
    1/4 cup butter, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp parsley
  • Serve these with some warm butter and enjoy!
