Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 โ cups sharp cheddar cheese - freshly shredded
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ยฝ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp parsley - fresh, finely chopped
- ยพ cup milk
- 1 large egg
- โ cup butter - softened
Garlic Butter
- ยผ cup butter - melted
- ยฝ tsp garlic powder
- ยฝ tsp parsley
Instructions
- Start by pre heating your oven to 400ยฐF and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bow whisk together your flour, salt, baking powder, garlic powder, parsley, and cheese.2 cups flour, 1 1/3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp parsley
- In a sperate bowl whisk together your milk, egg, and softened butter. Once it's fully mixed add this to your dry ingredients and mix this until you have a light and fluffy biscuit dough.3/4 cup milk, 1 large egg, 1/3 cup butter
- Scoop your dough into 8 biscuits on your baking sheet and place in the oven for 14 minutes at 400ยฐF
- Whilst your biscuits are baking mix together your butter, garlic powder and parsley. After your biscuits bake for 14 minutes coat them in a layer of garlic butter and continue to bake for 5-10 more minutes or until nicely golden.1/4 cup butter, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp parsley
- Serve these with some warm butter and enjoy!
