Creamy Cacio e Pepe
Ingredients
- 2 tsp fresh cracked pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese - freshly grated
- 2 tbsp butter
- 10 oz cavatappi pasta - or any pasta
- ยพ cup pasta water
- 2 tbsp salt - for pasta water

Instructions
- Start by bringing a large pot of water to a boil, and salting it with 2tbsp of salt, and cooking your pasta til al dente (7-9 minutes).2 tbsp salt, 10 oz cavatappi pasta
- Reserve 3/4 cup of your pasta water and pre heat a separate large skillet over medium – high heat.
- Add your freshly cracker pepper to your pan and let it get toasty and fragrant. Take a step back and add your pasta water and turn your heat down to medium.2 tsp fresh cracked pepper , 3/4 cup pasta water
- Mix in your heavy cream, parmesan cheese and butter. Let this mixture come to a light simmer and thicken.1 cup heavy cream, 1 cup parmesan cheese, 2 tbsp butter
- Follow in with your pasta and mix well and let it cook for 2 more minutes before serving. Top with some fresh parmesan cheese and enjoy!
