Ingredients

  • 2 tsp fresh cracked pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 10 oz cavatappi pasta or any pasta
  • ¾ cup pasta water
  • 2 tbsp salt for pasta water

Instructions

  • Start by bringing a large pot of water to a boil, and salting it with 2tbsp of salt, and cooking your pasta til al dente (7-9 minutes).

  • Reserve 3/4 cup of your pasta water and pre heat a separate large skillet over medium - high heat.
  • Add your freshly cracker pepper to your pan and let it get toasty and fragrant. Take a step back and add your pasta water and turn your heat down to medium.

  • Mix in your heavy cream, parmesan cheese and butter. Let this mixture come to a light simmer and thicken.
    1 cup heavy cream, 1 cup parmesan cheese, 2 tbsp butter
  • Follow in with your pasta and mix well and let it cook for 2 more minutes before serving. Top with some fresh parmesan cheese and enjoy!
