Pre heat your oven to 350°F and spray a 8x8 baking dish with some none stick spray and set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together your butter, sugar and honey until smooth. Follow in with your flour, cornmeal, baking soda, salt and butter milk and mix until just combined.
Pour this batter into your 8x8 baking dish and place in the oven at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.
Whilst the cornbread bakes mix together your butter and honey for your topping.
Once the cornbread is fully baked, using a fork poke a bunch of little holes in the top and pour your honey butter all over and wait 10 minutes then slice and enjoy!
