Honey Butter Infused Corn Bread

It’s moist, soft and has a buttery flavor with added honey to bring some sweetness! It’s easy to make and reheats amazingly too!

Ingredients

~Bread~

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup butter
  • cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt

~Honey Butter Topping~

  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Pre heat your oven to 350°F and spray a 8x8 baking dish with some none stick spray and set aside.
  • In a large bowl whisk together your butter, sugar and honey until smooth. Follow in with your flour, cornmeal, baking soda, salt and butter milk and mix until just combined.
  • Pour this batter into your 8x8 baking dish and place in the oven at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.
  • Whilst the cornbread bakes mix together your butter and honey for your topping.
  • Once the cornbread is fully baked, using a fork poke a bunch of little holes in the top and pour your honey butter all over and wait 10 minutes then slice and enjoy!
